Care Guide

Caring for your piece

Your stained glass piece should last a lifetime with minimal maintenance.

Display

Hang your piece using a hook or mount that is securely affixed to the window frame, ceiling, or wall.  I like a heavy swag hook, screwed directly into the window frame, for this. Suction cup and adhesive hangers, even high-quality ones, can fail and stained glass is fragile.  If you intend on displaying your piece outside it is recommended to bring it in for inclement weather.  Rain, wind and cold may cause damage, especially over time.

Cleaning

A gentle dusting with a soft, dry (or slightly damp) cloth should be all you ever need.  Do not use chemicals or abrasives on your piece as these will damage the finish.  If you encounter more severe dirt and grime you may want to wash the piece more thoroughly.  A gentle scrubbing with a soft toothbrush and mild dish soap is unlikely to damage the finish.  Make sure to rinse and dry it thoroughly.
